These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of APEX Marine (the "Service"), an AI-assisted diesel engine fault diagnostic tool accessible at apex-app.streamlit.app. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By accessing or using APEX Marine, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, are using the Service in a professional or technical capacity, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
APEX Marine analyses diesel engine cylinder pressure traces — supplied as CSV or Excel logs, or digitised from a photograph of a printed indicator diagram — and produces an assisted diagnosis of cylinder gas leakage severity and injector nozzle wear. The Service operates in two diagnostic modes:
Where trained model files are unavailable, the Service may fall back to a heuristic demonstration mode, which is clearly labelled as such in the results.
Confidence scores and decision margins are provided so that borderline or low-confidence results can be identified and treated with appropriate caution.
To generate a diagnosis, you may submit:
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any file or image you upload, and for the accuracy of the operational values you enter — incorrect inputs can produce an incorrect diagnosis.
Diagnoses run during your session are held in a local queue so they can be reviewed and, when you choose, synced. Nothing is uploaded, transmitted, or shared until you explicitly trigger a sync action within the Service.
You agree not to:
The Service, its interface, and its diagnostic models are owned by [operator / developer name]. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the Service or its models without permission. Pressure trace data and images you submit remain yours; diagnostic output generated for you is provided for your own operational use.
The Service is built using open-source libraries for numerical processing, machine learning, and image analysis. No pressure trace data or images are sent to a third-party AI provider for processing — diagnostic inference runs within the Service itself.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Diagnostic output reflects the statistical behaviour of the underlying models and may be incorrect, incomplete, or unavailable at times.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, [operator / developer name] shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including equipment damage, downtime, or personal injury — arising from reliance on a diagnosis produced by the Service. Maintenance and safety decisions remain the responsibility of the qualified engineer acting on them.
We may update these Terms, or modify or discontinue features of the Service, at any time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction]. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
