What file formats can I upload?
CSV and Excel (.xlsx/.xls) pressure logs with a crank angle column and a pressure column, or a photograph/scan of a printed indicator diagram — APEX digitises the curve automatically once you set the axis limits.
MODES
Which diagnostic mode will run?
On "Auto," APEX uses CNN-LSTM whenever a matched baseline operating point is available, and falls back to the baseline-free SVM engine otherwise. You can also force a specific mode from the sidebar.

The app says "Demo mode" — what does that mean?
It means the trained SVM or CNN-LSTM model files aren't loaded in this deployment, so APEX is using a simplified heuristic screen instead. Demo-mode results are clearly labelled and shouldn't be treated as a full diagnosis.
RESULTS
What does "decision margin" mean?
It's the gap between the top predicted class and the next most likely one. A low margin means the result is borderline — APEX flags this explicitly so you know to treat the reading with extra caution or re-test at a different load.
SYNC
How does cloud sync work?
Every diagnosis is added to a local queue automatically. Nothing leaves your session until you tap "Sync to Cloud," at which point the queued packets are uploaded and the queue is cleared.

Is my data safe?
Pressure logs and images are processed only to run the diagnosis and are not sent to a third-party AI service. See our
